Roosty

 Stood poised on the edge of the ledge Roo was motionless. It was not fear that froze him to the spot, despite the monstrous beast swooping through the skies in front of him, Roo did not know fear. It was a foreign concept to him since fear required a level of intelligence beyond what he possessed, it was a wonder he survived to the age he had. In fact the only reason he made it through as many years as he had was that his legs had an inbuilt sense for danger and would rapidly head in the opposite direction, and since the rest of him was quite attached to the legs it always followed, although often confused by the new travelling arrangements.
